1. Make No Excuses
If you want to be fit never miss a workout, whether it is an all-out day or a recovery day: workout daily to get stronger, bigger, and better. In case you miss a goal, don’t blame anything; know that it is for you and that you did everything you could. Run your own time debit and credit chart for at least one week, then write down the things you do and the time you spent doing them. Look at the number of hours wasted, and use them towards your fitness goal.
2. Become bulletproof
You cannot get fit without maximizing your mobility and movements. Make your body more resistant with at least three exercises that you should do daily. Staying injury free, strong and fast literally will keep you out of death, or potentially life-threatening situations.
3. Have fun
No matter what happens to you, make sure you go to the gym with a smile on your face. The workouts may be intense, but if you are having fun and happy you will be ready to dig deeper and perform harder to reach greater heights in fitness. Remember, the success of daily workout hinges on your mental state.
4. Know your numbers
Most people think that going to the gym means kicking off a box on the to-do list. Whether you are doing your hardest session of the week or recovery row, make sure you do the workout with a clear goal, full effort and attention. Be honest with yourself: measure your progress every single day. Numbers don’t lie, they will enable you to mark your achievements and motivate you towards the next target.
5. Just do something
You don’t have to run, do air squats, pushups or pull-ups every day, but it is very important to anything that helps your fitness. Consistency is what builds and maintain a high level of fitness. Just do something even if it is mobility exercises during TV commercials.
6. Baby your digits
Everything you do for your fitness starts and ends with your hand and feet each day, whether you are enduring or strengthening junkies. Create a few minutes to take care of your hands and fit each day. If your hand or foot pains because of blister or torn callous, you might fail to perform the workout. Remember, failing to work out due to preventable foot or hand problems is a lame way to ruin your progress. Your hands and feet are typically the pivot of your workout, so take care of them.
