You’ve probably heard of drones – they’re unmanned flying vehicles (controlled by computers, or handsets) that have been used for military and large business operations for some time now. But in 2015 you can have your very own personal drone, controlled by a handset or smartphone.
Why would you want to buy a personal drone? Well, they’re small flying vehicles that you can control, and that’s pretty cool in itself. But you can also attach cameras for either a live feed as you fly, or to take amazing aerial photos. Several companies such as DJI, 3DR, and Hubsan offer personal drones for sale – some for as little as a few hundred dollars.
If you are curious about the hobby and don’t know where to start or which is the best option for a beginner, then I recommend to get a cheap drone. This way you won’t be risking that much. If you find out the hobby is not for you, the buyer’s remorse will not knock your door, and if you find out that drones will stay in your life for a long time, then you’ll have started with the right foot.
