Camden in New Jersey was sadly dubbed the “poorest city in the nation” by the Census Bureau in 2011. This is evident by the run down buildings all over the city, as pictured above.
It’s no wonder then that Camden also has massively high crime rates. Residents have a 1/36 chance of being the victim of a violent crime, and 1/11 chance of being the victim of a property crime.
