Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker
As the youngest man ever to be crowned a champion in the WWE, Brock Lesner was a serious fan favorite. His meteoric rise to the top of the wrestling ranks at such a young age however, left several aged veterans with a bad taste in their mouths. Many thought that Lesner hadn’t paid his dues working the bottom of the show card. Among them, it was the Undertaker who chose to do something about it.
In 2002, at the “Unforgiven” event, the two warriors clashed in the ring with a purpose. Lesner was determined to prove to the world that he was worthy of the title. The Undertaker was obsessed with proving him to be nothing but a spoiled young upstart. The match ended with Lesner retaining his title after a controversial double-disqualification, but that was just the beginning of the story.
The two fought again at the “No Mercy” match later that same year, in a “Hell in a Cell” cage match. After breaking the Undertaker’s hand with a tank of propane, Lesner thought he had an advantage. Unfortunately, Undertaker was allowed to use his cast as a weapon and the two men battled on in a bloody rivalry match which saw Lesner emerge as victorious.
