Pro Wrestlers In Crazy Behind The Scenes Incidents
In the good old wrestling days, backstage altercations seemed like a weekly occurrence. Today, things have tremendously changed. The company is as professional as it has ever been. Long gone are the days of backstage and on the road brawls. The current WWE’s strict policies hardly allow these actions to occur any more. However, despite the new rules set, it is of great importance to note that many times when the fights took place in the past, it was due to the passion of the wrestlers. This is something that totally lacks in the present generation of wrestlers. Some of wrestling’s top as well as iconic stars have been somewhat involved in many if not all of these incidents.
The following backstage fights range from a long history of bitterness between wrestlers to problematic in-ring performances. Here is a set of the top pro wrestlers who were involved in shocking backstage incidents:
Nasty Boys v Ken Shamrock
This is one of the most famous “backstage” incidents in pro wrestling history – although, it didn’t technically take place in the backstage of a wrestling venue. The whole incident started one night in a bar, when the 3 were wrestling on Carolina independents.
Apparently, the Nasty Boys were making rude gestures towards the fiance of one of Ken Shamrocks buddies. This of course didn’t sit well with Shamrock, who told the boys to beat it. Later, Shamrock burst into the Nasty Boys hotel room to confront the about the incident.. and what’s where it all kicked off.
Shamrock began attacking Saggs, and claims that while he was doing this he was struck with a heavy object by Knobbs. Then, the Nasty Boys beat the living hell out of Shamrock – and wanted to throw him off the balcony too. Thankfully, other wrestlers intervened and stopped the fight. Shamrock was taken away in an ambulance.. probably nursing wounds to his ego as well as physical wounds.
